NOMINATIONS REPRESENTING THE CONCEPT OF "CHILD" IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

This work analyzes the national-cultural characteristics of the concept of "child" in the English language. It examines how cultural concepts can be expressed through lexical and phraseological units related to the notion of a child. The analysis revealed that the representation of a child most frequently appears in thematic groups associated with inner world, social relations, and behavior, which confirms the significance of this concept in English-speaking linguoculture.
